The good people at Low Times are kind enough to indulge my Billy Joel obsession by letting me talk about stuff over there from time to time. Today I’m talking about the live record that just concluded. Check out their podcast but don’t worry, I’m not on it.

Over at Low Times I’m writing brief recaps when I reach the end of each proper Billy Joel album. We’ve now gone through Turnstiles (you see what I did there).

Also check out the Low Times podcast, there’s a great interview with Nils Lofgren from last week and hours of other exciting stuff just waiting there for you.

Today In A Year of Billy Joel News

One of my favorite things to listen to is Low Times, a music podcast hosted by three of the most talented people around Tom Scharpling, Maggie Serota and Daniel Ralston. Each episode of Low Times features interviews with some of the top performers and personalities in the music business and they go way beyond the standard “tell us about your new record” interviews you hear in most other places.

The Low Times web site also features reviews, columns and coming soon: A Year of Billy Joel album recaps.

Soon, after I finish writing about each song on a particular album a here at A Year of Billy Joel I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the album with the good people at Low Times. I highly recommend you check out their podcast and some of the great writers that are contributing to the site.

In other news, I have listened to the entire Piano Man record. Song by song recaps to begin tomorrow.
